   FIELD COLLECTORS - ALERT!

Your best finds for the past year or the new field season are needed! Each year at the Denver Gem and Mineral Show a trophy is awarded to a Denver Area Council Club for the best Club Prospector Case. Any Member Club can enter a case containing up to three specimens that have been collected on a club-sponsored field trip after the last day of the Denver Gem and Mineral Show in September. The specimens need to be accompanied by support data, maps and pictures that help document the find. The case will be judged on showmanship of the case and quality of the specimens. So if you haven't found a winner yet - go on those club field trips, dig hard and find some good stuff and help us put together a winning case! Bring your finds to the club picnic so we can select the ones for this September's case. Any club member who is interested in providing a specimen, or specimens, or to help with creating the display, call Keith Sheel or Jim Hooten.
